Before a funeral, there were mountains
Personal Project: Experimental Photography
2020
By the time I walked down mount Kinabalu, I noticed
several messages from my parents and relatives informing
the death of my grandfather. Inevitably, I left the trip earlier for the funeral.
I ruminated that these two events, conquering the mountain and passing away which symbolizing overcoming obstacles and reaching peace of mind respectively, were both the matter of time. Furthermore, I considered the two above-mentioned occasions as intriguing transitional states that assisted making one's life missions accomplished. Then, I started juxtaposing the photos that I took from both circumstances in order to construct the photographic poetry.
